One of the finest examples of Jain architecture, Hutheesing Jain Temple in Ahmedabad is one of the must-visit places in the city. Built in 1848AD, the beautiful Jain temple is a two-storey structure and is dedicated to the 15th tirathankar of Jainis – Dharamnath. 

Constructed out of white marble, the Hutheesing Jain Temple was built by a rich Jain merchant Seth Hutheesing and is considered as one of the remarkable pieces of art in the city. The Hutheesing Jain Temple situated outside the renowned Delhi Gate in the city is a magnificent temple complex with a huge dome, protruding porches on three sides with brilliantly decorated columns and figural bracket, paved courtyards and arcades that enclose 52 shrines. 

Best time to visitThe best time to visit this beautiful Jain temple is between the months of October and March as the weather during these months is conducive for a sightseeing tour of the temple.-TriviaInterestingly this Jain temple although dedicated to the 15th tirathankar Dharamnath, has been named after the wealthy Jain merchant who built it.-TimingThe temple is open throughout the week and the visiting hours are between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with a one hour lunch break from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
